Malas are used as a tool to help focus the mind on meditation whilst saying a mantra, prayer or positive affirmation. The practice of repeating a mantra using Mala is called Japa (which translates as ‘muttering’ in Sanskrit)
By repeating a word or phrase we redirect the mind from the constant inner chatter and introduce positive thought patterns, and enhance self-awareness. With regular practice we become more centered and access a deeper state of inner peace .
Prayer beads have been used for generations in various spiritual traditions, for example – Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity, Jainism and Sikhism.
Please be advised that pre booking is essential as places are limited.

“Making the Mala with Phil was truly a lovely experience at Creacon. I could make my own decisions in choosing the colours & beads etc. Phil is such a charming person and her support was delightful! This workshop was worth it and my Mala already did positive work on me”
