A Mala is a string of 108 beads plus a Guru bead.
Malas are used as a tool to help focus the mind on meditation whilst saying a mantra, prayer or positive affirmation. The practice of repeating a mantra using a Mala is called Japa (which translates as ‘muttering’ in Sanskrit)
Prayer beads have been used for generations in various spiritual traditions, for example – Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity, Jainism and Sikhism.
No experience needed to partake in this relaxing and enjoyable workshop.

“Making the Mala with Phil was truly a lovely experience at Creacon. I could make my own decisions in choosing the colours & beads etc. Phil is such a charming person and her support was delightful! This workshop was worth it and my Mala already did positive work on me”
