Anxiety Relief With Mindfulness for Teachers and Parents
Aimed at equipping teachers and parents with practical effective tools to use for both themselves and children.
A wonderful weekend relaxing and experiencing some of the best mindfulness techniques, with a talk on the neuroscience of mindfulness.
Walk away refreshed, rejuvenated and equipped to face life’s challenges and support our kids.
Mindfulness gives you a choice in every moment to replace fear, frustration, stress and anxiety with compassion, concentration, emotional balance, and greater joy.
Low level chronic anxiety and stress is wearing out both our minds and our bodies, constantly releasing small amounts of adrenaline and cortisol into our system and we are simply not wired to cope with this and neither are our kids! There are ways to combat this and drive down the levels of anxiety we experience.
Spend a weekend switching off and experiencing each of the three main mindfulness techniques which provide a specific tool to help us and our kids develop a peaceful mind and a more relaxed body.
We will listen to some relaxing music, Tibetan singing bowls and learn to colour mindfully a remarkable relaxing technique to develop!
Colette is a lecturer in Mindfulness at the School of Education, University of Aberdeen and has run workshops for hundreds of teachers and parents. She has been practicing mindfulness and meditation for over 20 years and has visited India numerous times to sit with wise monks and teachers and develop her practice and understanding.

Dedicated Anxiety Relief with Mindfulness workshop will include:
- Learning the techniques for SOS mindfulness, attention and focus control, calming and emotional regulation.
- Mindfulness overview with experiential breathing practices.
- Neuroscience of mindfulness – what you need to know as a parent or a teacher. Identifying your anxiety triggers, re-framing and affirmations.
- Mindful practices for anxiety (heart, body, emotions and anchors).
Optional Sunday lunch can be booked for 1pm
