As we enter the winter months, it becomes ever more important to care for ourselves, taking time out to rest deeply and unwind. In this Restorative Yoga Class you will be nurtured into a feeling of deep inner calm and well being through the practice of Gentle Restorative Yoga Poses, Pranayama, Authentic Movement and Yoga Nidra.
Restorative Yoga can be described as the Yoga of Deep Rest. It is a powerful practice that benefits all the systems of spirit / body / mind, bringing about feelings of inner peace and calm. All the postures are done with the support of blankets, mats, bolsters and pillows to invite participants to let go into deep relaxation.
We will start and finish the session with Yoga Nidra Practices. During the practice of Yoga Nidra the deepest Delta brainwaves (0.1-4Hz) can arise. Both healing and regenerative Delta waves are essential to our wellbeing.
A truly nourishing and nurturing practice for you to start your weekend.
