NATIVE AMERICAN TEACHINGS BROUGHT TO LIGHT
A class of mindfulness, which helps you tune into your surroundings and using the earth to heal yourself and in that process simultaneously healing the earth.
We breathe the air, we are warmed by the sun, we eat her fruits, we drink her waters – yet most of us take all of this for granted and give no thought of Mother Earth or Father Sky past the enjoyment of walking on her surface. What are we missing? Why do we sometimes we feel empty and drained? Why do we become sad? What have we forgotten to remember? Why do we feel alone at times?
Native American Indians and all Indigenous cultures remember who they are and remember why they are here and what life is really about. We know within ourselves when something is missing, the hard part is identifying the part that we are not recognizing…our connection to all that lives, our gratefulness for all we have, our connection to one another thru the earth, the air we breathe, the water we drink, the food we eat, the warmth of the sun, the light of a full moon. We are all connected thru the Earth, the plants, the animals, the sun, the moon, the stars and the heartbeat of Mother Earth and the wealth of Father Sky.
Come remember what is important in life, remember who you are, remember Great Spirit loves you and that you are never alone. This is our true heritage that we have forgotten. Learn to honor her gifts and her teachings, and she will honor you as she always has by sustaining your life.
