When faced with our challenges we can easily start to feel the need to escape the suffering. We look for distractions from our reality or seek to be transformed in a way that changes everything. Mindfulness teaches us that the answer lies in concentration and focusing on the present.
If we lack gratitude, we are probably waiting for something to change or to come into our lives, or to be relieved of a problem or situation. Without gratitude for this moment, whatever it is, true transformation cannot happen.
